On Thursday, October 22, 2009, Dr. Peredo was honored at the 7th Annual Benefit for Domestic Violence Survivors on Long Island (The Carltun, Eisenhower Park) for devoting a considerable amount of time, energy and resources helping victims of domestic violence. Proceeds went to the The National Domestic Violence Project & Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides comprehensive services that focus on the safety and well-being of victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault and the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence who works to ensure societal accountability, improve institutional responsiveness to victims and increase public awareness in order to prevent domestic violence, rape and sexual assault.
